Gambling systems have a long history. Some people swear by them other hate them. I take a middle ground. Both camps have valid points. Do systems work? For the most part, no, they do not. You cannot beat the house by doubling your bet after each loss in roulette. You will hit the table limit and be thousands of dollars in the hole. It doesn’t work. Do I use a gambling method myself? Yes. I have to admit that I do. I use the Fibonacci method.

Fibonacci was an Italian mathematician who lived in Pisa. His father was named Bonaccio, and he was simply known as the “son of Bonaccio” or “Fionacci.” The year was 1201 CE when he identified something very peculiar about numbers. He realized that there is a sequence with very interesting properties that appeared to govern the way the natural world works.
This sequence is rather simple to grasp. It indicates a relationship where each unit is the result of the preceding two units combined. If you express it mathematically, it looks like this: F(n)=F(n-1+F(n-2), where F(0)=0 and F(1)=1. It might look complicated if you’re not great with numbers. But it isn’t. Take a look at this number sequence: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 35, 89, 144, 233, 377, 610, 987…. The sequence can go on forever, but this is as far as you’re likely to need to know it.
The Fibonacci sequence is very beautiful when you examine it. It doesn’t stop at defining the numbers in the list. It defines the relationship of sunflower seeds to one another in the flower. It defines the shape of spirals like nautilus shells and galaxies. It defines the shape of how natural things structure themselves, like the relationship of the finger to the hand and the hand to the arm. It is also the relationship used by architects throughout history in their designs. It is also called the golden ratio or the golden mean. It is a sequence that is so fully integrated in nature, that the rules of probabilities also share certain features of it.

So how do you make use of this sequence as a gambling method? You use it as a progressive betting system. Instead of doubling your wager each time, you place your wagers along the numerical sequence. Instead of betting $1, $2, $4, $8, $16, $32, you bet $1, $2, $3, $5, $8, $13. Do you see the difference? The bottom line is that five wagers in, you are risking a lot less of your money. This will allow you to last a lot longer at any game you’re likely to play in the casino.
Of course, it is best to use any progressive betting method judiciously. It is not guaranteed that your luck will change. It is likely that it will, though. And what you have to do is survive long enough to see a win. The idea in all progressive betting systems is to allow you to afford to continue playing. Nowhere is this more useful than in craps, but that is not the scope of this article. If you want to play craps from any location, find out more about mobile casinos at our sister sites.
What you need to know is that this is the safest way to play with a betting strategy. The whole point is to survive. Will you hit the table limit? Hopefully not, but you can always switch to a higher limit table if you do. Is it foolproof? Certainly not. Is it helpful, though? Yes. I have sworn by it for decades. It worked for me, and hopefully it will work for you too. Just keep a level head, though.
